• Refugee or asylee status may be granted to nationals of certain countries who can establish a well founded fear of persecution in that specified country. Nationals from specific countries known for their low immigration to the US may participate in the diversity lottery program. US citizens and permanent residents may sponsor certain relatives to come to the US. US citizens may petition for spouses, parents, children and siblings to come to the US.

• Permanent residents may petition for spouses and children only. So far as employment based immigration is concerned, the US employer must prove that there is a shortage of US workers for the job in question. This is known as the Labor Certification Process. However, there are certain individuals who are exempt from this process such as, foreign nationals with extraordinary ability in their field, outstanding researchers and professors, those whose work is in the national interest of the US, those with exceptional abilities, certain religious workers and immigrant investors.

• Applying for permanent residence; Maintenance of permanent residence status; Re-entry permits.

• Naturalization applications.

• Counseling on the US immigration system and immigration laws; US Citizenship and Immigration Service procedures; changes in the law; compliance issues such as Form I-9 and H1-B Labor Condition applications. Form I-9 is the Employment Eligibility Verification form issued by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) which all US employers are required by law to complete and retain for all US citizens and non citizen employees that the employer has hired for employment in the US.
